September Movie/TV Wrap-Up

We have a nice pink/red vibe going on here and I kinda dig it.

When They See Us – ♥♥♥♥♥
Unbelievable – ♥♥♥♥♥
The Politician – ♥♥♥.5

Okay when I started The Politician, I was ALL. IN. The costuming was impeccable and the set design blew me away. Ben Platt was extraordinary and deserves all the awards. The first five or six episodes of the ten episode season were really great and then, like most Ryan Murphy productions, it went down hill. I mean, I’ll still watch when it comes back for a second season because it wasn’t that bad, but I think it could have been better. I also thought it was a limited series right until I finished the season and then I realized it’s going to be a full blown TV show.

Hot Summer Nights -♥♥
Long Shot -♥♥♥♥
Only Humans – ♥♥♥
The Sun is Also a Star – ♥♥
Brittany Runs a Marathon – ♥♥♥♥♥
Hustlers – ♥♥♥♥
Between Two Ferns: The Movie – ♥♥♥♥

In my eyes, Seth Rogen can do no wrong. He was so sweet and charming in Long Shot and I loved seeing the lovely June Diane Raphael in such a strong, bitchy role. Brittany Runs a Marathon was a great  movie that really surprised me. It could have easily been hokey or corny, but I think it was the perfect blend of funny and uplifting—I definitely recommend.

Next month will be filled with all the spooky scary movies I can handle!
