This month was SPOOKY!
I feel like I say this every month, but I had the best reading of my life. I read 14 books, a lot of them physical and backlogged titles. I had so much fun getting sucked into these stories, I found myself itching to get back to reading whenever I was doing anything else. I became obsessed with finding even more thrillers and mysteries on Goodreads to get into.

Favorites: I love anything Kara Thomas writes. Little Monsters started my exploration of thrillers when I read it last year. The way she weaves together interesting and compelling characters within her mysteries and The Cheerleaders and The Darkest Corners are no different. Monday’s Not Coming absolutely blew me away, just like Tiffany Jackson’s debut, Allegedly, last year. Jackson’s books are unflinchingly harsh, grotesque, and incredibly well written, I found myself repeatedly shaking my head in a state of shock. Listening to the stories in His Hideous Heart was so much fun. Dahlia Adler compiled a wonderful and eclectic anthology of stories that reimagined Edgar Allan Poe’s stories and poems in such a modern way.
What was your favorite thing you read this month? Only two more months left of the year!
