2020 is looking pretty good! When I was going through my Goodreads of 2020 releases, I got very overwhelmed. And when you think about it, not everything has even been announced yet. So I decided to break up my anticipated reads in three month increments. Now, these aren’t all the books coming out that I’m interested in, just my favorites—the top tier, if you will.
We Used to be Friends by Amy Spalding (Jan 7th)
One of Us is Next by Karen M. McManus (Jan 7th)
The Map From Here to There by Emery Lord (Jan 7th)
Lucky Caller by Emma Mills (Jan. 14th)
Echoes Between Us by Katie McGarry (Jan 21st)
A bunch of titles are coming out in January from some of my favorite authors. When Amy Spalding announced the summary of We Used to be Best Friends, I was on board! Having gone through a friend breakup, I think it should be discussed more, especially in YA books. I’ve really been looking forward to Emery Lord’s sequel to The Start of Me and You, The Map from Here to There, and it will probably be one of the first books I grab in the new year. Just the other day I listen to One of Us is Lying for the second time so I’m ready for the sequel, One of Us is Next. The first month of the new decade is poppin’ off!
Together We Caught Fire by Eva V. Gibson (Feb. 4th)
Yes No Maybe So by Becky Albertalli & Aisha Saeed (Feb. 4th)
The Sky is Mine by Amy Beashel (Feb. 6th)
Of Curses and Kisses by Sandhya Menon (Feb. 18th)
New Becky Albertalli? A boarding school story by Sandhya Menon? I’m sold!
Anna K. by Jenny Lee (March 3rd)
Harley in the Sky by Akemi Dawn Bowman (March 10th)
My Dark Vanessa by Kate Elizabeth Russell (March 20th)
Frozen Beauty by Lexa Killyer (March 17th)
These are all from authors I don’t know (except for Akemi Dawn Bowman), but these four books all have such stunning covers and summaries that gave me the feeling of something special. Some of these I have early ARCs of so I can’t wait dive in soon.
This is shaping up to be a pretty great quarter. Let me know if there are any books you think I might be interested in coming out in 2020!
