Never Have I Ever – ♥♥♥♥
Oh man, guys. Tiger King. Amiright? Little Fires Everywhere produced incredible performances, not just from Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington. All the young actors were really exceptional. They definitely upped the drama from the book, which was fine, but I did enjoy the book more. I watched Never Have I Ever in one day I think it was such a great show from Mindy Kaling. Three Netflix shows—they are killing it!

The Glass Castle – ♥♥.5
I miss going to the movies so much! I would love to rent some of the movies that were pulled from the theaters, but I don’t have $19.99 to rent Emma. Onward was definitely not Pixar’s best movie but I think it was really heartwarming and really enjoyed it. Hala was really incredible and would have been five stars if it wasn’t for this one storyline that was kind of thrown in near the end of the movie. After reading The Glass Castle, I decided to watch the movie—big mistake. The movie took this compelling story about a woman’s adolescence with her family—a childish artist mother, an alcoholic father, and her three siblings—and turned her parents into the victims. Despite the great acting coming from Woody Harrelson and Brie Larson, this was just disappointing.
Theater:
Phantom of the Opera: 25th Anniversary Special – ♥♥♥♥♥
Heathers: The Musical – ♥♥♥♥♥
Middleditch & Schwartz – ♥♥♥♥♥
The clear winners of this month. I love live shows, even when they’re on screen. Middleditch and Schwartz made me laugh so hard, my mom came in and checked up on me.
