July Movie/TV Wrap Up

I can’t seem to focus on things except short TV series, documentaries, and old favorites.

Atypical: (Final Season) – ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series (Season Two) – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is Pop – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Never Have I Ever (Season Two) – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

heart. I had so much fun watching Loki this month. Loki has always been one of my favorite Marvel villains and the show was so much fun. Despite being a little let down by the finale, I can’t wait for a season two and more Mobius! Behind the Attraction was exactly what it sounds like—the history of individual Disney attractions, how they evolve over the years, and how it translates across the world. It was only the first five episodes, but I can’t wait for more episodes to drop. Three shows came back with new seasons and it was really great jumping back into established storylines and characters.

Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar – ⭐️⭐️.5
Palm Springs (rewatch) – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Bilie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry – ⭐️⭐️⭐️
I Care a Lot – ⭐️⭐️.5
This Changes Everything – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our Friend – ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

I was really disappointed with I Care A Lot and surprised Rosamund Pike was nominated for the Oscar. She was fine, but the movie itself had a lot of problems. It wanted to do way too much and should have focused on one storyline. This Changes Everything was probably one of the best documentaries I’ve seen this year. A look and in-depth analysis of gender disparity in Hollywood, featuring accounts from well-known actors, executives and creators in the industry. I was captivated and angry and empowered. I think I ended up loving Palm Springs even more the second time. Andy Samberg did such an incredible job and showed he’s not always the really silly guy.
