My comments are pretty sparse this month. Nothing really thrilled me. Stuff gets really good for the last few months of the year, so here’s hoping for better wrap ups in the future!

My favorite TV this month revolve around the Duplass brothers. Rewatching The League was a great decision on my part. I forgot how hysterical and ridiculous that show is—filled with some of my favorite comedians in the biz. I wanted The Chair to be longer! I don’t know if it’s the kind of show to do another season or if it will remain a limited series, but it was really wonderful with a great cast. Jay Duplass is always excellent and Holland Taylor was a real standout as a total lush.

Coda was really beautiful and I wouldn’t be surprised if it gets some recognition at the end of the year. I also really loved Shiva Baby. Being stuck in that cramped house as our main character is slowly unraveling was uncomfortable and effective.
