Never Vacation with Your Ex by Emily Wibberley & Austin Siegemund-Broka – ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Meet Me at the Lake by Carley Fortune – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Summer Reading by Jenn McKinlay – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Two books with the ‘brother’s best friend’ trope, two very different vibes. Those Summer Nights was a perfect summer YA that gave me all the feels. I loved all the fun antics throughout this entertainment center and there were so many wonderful characters that added to this found family—I could see this as a movie. Some Other Now was just a punch in the gut. I finished the book with a pile of tissues next to me and a crying hangover the next morning. Never Vacation with Your Ex was disappointing because I’ve always been a fan of the author duo Emily Wibberley & Austin Siegemund-Broka, this was just not the one. Summer Reading was my second Jenn McKinlay book and, so far, I’m a fan. Sam was such a great main character that was so sure of herself in such a refreshing way.
eBooks:

Six Summers to Fall by C.W. Farnsworth – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
French Kissing in New York by Anne-Sophie Jouhanneau – ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Tilly in Technicolor by Mazey Eddings – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
The Summer Party by Rebecca Heath – ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
Unexpecting by Jen Bailey – ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
I signed up for Kindle Unlimited mainly for the extremely readable romance and I thought the books would be just for pure entertainment. Six Summers to Fall was just the next high rated KU title I added to my list. I love books set on a lake, and I found this second chance romance to be such a feel good romance that made me feel so gooey inside. As I’m getting older, I am finding myself being pickier with my YA—for example, French Kissing in New York and Unexpecting—but wow, was Tilly in Technicolor a total breath of fresh air. The disability representation—ADHD and autism—was really great and Tilly could have very easily been very obnoxious, but I found her and especially her chemistry with Oliver was top notch.
