June Wrap Up

I’ve got my TV groove back!

TV:

Dancing for the Devil – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Apples Never Fall – ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Baby Reindeer – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Bridgerton
: Season Three – Part II – ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
American Nightmare – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
American Sweethearts – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Bear
: Season Three⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Perfect Wife
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

I definitely think they shouldn’t have had broken up Bridgerton in to two parts. We lost the momentum of the action in the season. I also think that jammed way too much into the eight episodes. Eloise and Benedict remain my favorite characters. Baby Reindeer was incredibly well-done and hard to sit through. It’s crazy that it was a true story that actually happened to the lead actor. He had to have gone through a crazy amount of therapy to be able to go through the trauma all over again to make the show. American Sweethearts, about the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, was all over my FYP on TikTok and I just had to watch. I wish they hadn’t focused so many episodes to tryouts and showed more of what they get up to during the season and after. I managed to squeeze in the newest season of The Bear before the end of the month. It was a little more introspective than previous seasons and made me miss more of the ensemble scenes, but that show is still so wonderful to watch and really makes you feel everything that the characters are feeling.

Movies:

Brats – ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Inside Out 2 – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Outstanding
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Not many people know that Inside Out is my favorite Pixar. The world of Inside Out is so ingenious and is such a creative way to explain emotions to children. Inside Out 2 introduces more complex emotions that probably will go over kids’ heads, but I loved it. Not as much as the first, but I loved it so much. I knew I would the minute I saw that they were including Anxiety as a new character and boy did she hit me right in the feels! Totally cried.
