June Reading Wrap-Up

GIVE ME ALL THE QUEER BOOKS

While I did not stick to my set TBR at all—which really didn’t surprise me—I read some really great books this month. AND every book featured a queer character, my main goal of this Pride month. Some ARCs were underwhelming, but I’m still glad read them.

I was really excited to get to read one of my most anticipated books, I Wanna Be Where You Are by Kristina Forest, and I really loved it. While at first I wasn’t really vibing with Jennifer Dugan’s Hot Dog Girl, it ended up being one of my favorites of the month. I’m really glad I stuck through until the end.  I listened to Andrew Rannells’s memoir on audiobook during a thunder storm blackout one night and it cracked me up, definitely made light of a shitty situation. Akemi Dawn Bowman is becoming one of my favorite authors and I can’t wait to read anything she comes out with next. Another favorite, Small Town Hearts by Lillie Vale, had me feeling some Sarah Dessen vibes and I was loving it!

I’ve not read any of those yet but they look like a great selection.
