Thank God for the escapism of movies and TV. W all need it now.
TV:
The Baby-Sitters Club – ♥♥♥♥♥
Search Party (Season 3) – ♥♥♥♥
Happy Endings – ♥♥♥♥♥
I love The Baby-Sitters Club movie that came out in 1995. It was one of my favorites growing up. I was worried when I first heard they were rebooting the TV show, I was nervous. I was pleasantly surprised how much I loved this. It was such a great reboot, bringing everything that makes the original show and books wonderful, and modernized it without losing the authentic sweetness. After hearing that the cast of Happy Endings were reuniting for a new episode in quarantine for charity, I immediately started doing a rewatch. I fucking love this show. Not enough people watched this gem. It’s absolutely hilarious and I’m still crossing my fingers for a new season.

We all know I could spend hours talking about my love for Hamilton, so that’s why I did a whole post on it last week. Athlete A is a documentary about the sexual assault cases against Larry Nassar and USA Gymnastics. Watching how much USA Gymnastics buried different instances of abuse—verbal, physical, and sexual. The women that came forward are so brave. Palm Springs was so wonderful. I love seeing Andy Samberg shows his more dramatic side. Not to say Palm Springs isn’t hilarious. There’s a reason why it holds the sale record at the Sundance Film Festival by $.69—classic Lonely Island silliness.
