May Movie/TV Wrap Up

Jimmy Savile: A British Horror Story – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is Us
: Season 6 – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Candy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Girl from Plainville –  ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
I Love You, Now Die⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Hall: Honoring the Greats of Stand-Up ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

The story of Jimmy Savile is insane. The man was absolutely beloved in London, raising millions of pounds over his lifetime. Once he died, it came out that he sexually assaulted hundreds of people, as young as four and as old as late 80’s. I really hope this stand-up hall of fame thing becomes a yearly thing and I hope The Hall is a little longer in the future. This is Us did a really great job with it’s ending. Everyone got to have their time to wrap up their stories and nothing became overly sad and depressing. The Girl from Plainville was much too long. The whole situation is kind of weird and gross and I think everyone was kind of awful, but the performances were fine? Nothing really to write home about.

Our Father – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spring Awakening: Those You’ve Known – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Along for the Ride – ⭐️⭐️.5
George Carlin’s American Dream – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Chip n’ Dale Rescue Rangers –

Our Father is a wild story about a fertility doctor who used his own sperm in his patients, and guess what? Now he has almost a hundred kids. Insane! The Spring Awakening documentary was really special to watch. Going into it, I knew a few songs and had a rough understanding of the story. Seeing these cast members come back to performer together again for this great cause was really beautiful. The Doctor Strange sequel was WILD! Was it my favorite Marvel movie? No, but it was a lot of fun and Elizabeth Olsen was incredible, reprising her role as Wanda/Scarlett Witch. Another wild movie: Chip n’ Dale Rescue Rangers! Chip and Dale voiced by John Mulaney and Andy Samberg? Done deal. Judd Apatow did an outstanding job on his documentary on the late great comedian George Carlin. Spanning across five decades, you see the different stages of his career as he finds his voice and sharpens his craft.
