I love movies. I don’t mean I’m a casual watcher of movies—I REALLY love movies. I have a degree in film. Other than books and TV, movies are my life. I haven’t seen every movie on earth and we most likely have a different view on film favorites. However, it’s the season of love so lets talk about some of my favorite romantic movies. These are all movies that are romantic to me. I’m going to put each movie in different categories. Big, obvious pulls like Pretty Women or The Notebook won’t be on here because they’re kinda a given, or they’re not necessarily my favorites.
I got to do a lot of fun things this year. 2018 has probably been the best year I’ve had in a long time. I went to Disney on both coasts, I went to panels for some of my favorite TV shows. Saw some great comedy shows before leaving LA. For my birthday I visited the Pacific Northwest to be with some of my best friends from college. I love seeing my friends accomplish so much in both their professional and personal lives. I moved across the country—okay that sucked, but it still happened. Finally I took in a lot of great entertainment!
Hello! Pop culture and entertainment rule my life. I decided that it would be fun to do a little recap of all the media I consume each month:
So this should have gone up in August, but with the stress of packing and moving, it’s only getting up now.
Apparently, 2018 is the year of the YA adaptations, and for the most part they have been pretty incredible. Love, Simon set the precedent, after years of mediocre adaptations that established a stereotype when it comes to this “genre” of movie.
