Why yes I am posting a September wrap up during the second half of October and I have no excuse for it. Enjoy!
TV:

The Pursuit of Love – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Other Two (Season Two) – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hacks – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
Sex Education (Season Three) – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I hope that now The Other Two is on HBOMax, more people will watch it. I was among the few that caught it on Comedy Central and I’ve been waiting ages for the second season and it was worth the wait. Sex Education just gets better and better every season. seeing the actors understand their characters and get more comfortable is really great to see blossom onscreen. I didn’t know what to make of Hacks at first. Everyone kept talking about it and it kind of quietly snuck in to be nominated (and win) a ton of Emmys. It was fun and hilarious and Jean Smart reminds me a lot of Julia Louise-Dreyfus’s character from Veep. I’m pumped to see what comes with a second season.
Movies:

Zola – ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
Cruella – ⭐️⭐️⭐️
In The Heights (rewatch) – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Cruella was better than I thought it would be. The beginning and the ending—basically the set up as to how and why Cruella acts the way that she does—is pretty stupid. However, the big chunk in the middle of the movie where we see her wreak havoc around London to an insane soundtrack—must have cost Disney a fortune—was a whole lot of fun and Emma Stone did an incredible job. I’ll definitely check out the sequel.
October is shaping up to being a packed month of entertainment, so get ready!
