Unrest and Chronic Pain

Something about me: I’ve been sick for about nine years. It all started New Year’s Eve 2008, halfway through my senior year of high school.  I had my very first migraine and from that day on, I’ve had some type of headache every day.  Every day for the past nine years.  Then in the middle of college, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia.  Strange word, right? Fibromyalgia is a disorder that causes widespread pain, fatigue, memory issues, and basically anything else that can go wrong with your body.  One way to look at it: my body feels like a gigantic bruise.  My headaches only added to the problem.  I spent a lot of time stuck in bed. I STILL spend a lot of time stuck in bed.

Favorite Authors of 2017

I read 95 books in 2017.  95 BOOKS! This was the best reading I’ve ever had.  I read diversely—both in authors and subject matter.  I branched out of my comfort zone and discovered I kind of like mysteries?  Yes, most of the books I read are Young Adult, but the atmosphere there is so inspiring.  If I made a list of my favorite books of the year it would probably be over 50 books long. So, I decided to do a list of my favorite authors I read this year instead.  The list will be in alphabetical order and some authors are listed with more than one book. Let’s get started!

Hello! Not going to lie, 2017 was pretty garbage on the movie front; it was pretty garbage all around but that’s for another time.  Most of the movies this year just lacked creativity and originality, in my opinion.  Still, I was able to scrounge up ten films that made me happy this year.  Here are my Top Ten Movies of 2017!

Welcome!

Version 2

It’s the New Year! Meaning its time to work on your resolutions, if only for a month or two.  I’ve been wanting to create a blog for quit sometime now, but the actual “doing” of said thing has always been the challenge.  BUT! ‘Tis the New Year, meaning: fresh start, clean slate, new calendar.  Let’s get it started!
